Peeling

This is a sequel to burnt. The lovely after effects of burning is peeling. Those lovely flaky dead skin falling to the ground. But there is nothing more unappealing, than a bald man with a flaky scalp, scattering dead skin all around. But hey I cant help it. Between that and fire ant bites I am just peachy. Yeh, buddy just peachy.

back at the old ball game

I went to another Owls game last night, and had a blast. Friends from church were there, plus my posse. We had a good time. It was Dollar Monday games, where you get in for a dollar, and several food and drink items are a dollar. I caught a free rubber ball after the game that they were throwing to the crowd, but the best thing I got was a friend of mine from church in my Sunday school class was chasing foul balls, and he had several so he gave me one. An official game ball! woot! woot!. See you all tomorrow, taters.

Gearing Up

This weekend, I will be gearing up for soccer. We will have soccer evaluations this weekend for Upward Soccer, at Liberty Baptist church in Ellenboro, North Carolina. I help out at a station, I also coach during the season and sometimes referee. It is a blast working with the kids and their parents. The league also spreads God’s word during practices and the games on Saturdays. I get so much enjoyment out of it. I don’t know much other than the basics of soccer, but we have fun together. If you live in the area, and have kids, bring them on Friday from 6- 8 PM, or Saturday from 10 till 2 PM. See ya there.

What Would I Do

Yesterday I talked about the love of my life. I will today as well. I met her through an acquaintance of ours. I don’t know about her but it was love at first sight she was beautiful. We went to a bible study on our first date. It was not planned that way but that is what happened. About a year later we were married.I have been with her for 33 years.

But I got to thinking what would happen if I lost her? I would be lost as a goose in a pack full of them, like a leaf just twisting in the wind. I love her that much. I would be without my friend, and my love the love of my life. Don’t take them for granted people they are too precious not to have. See ya tomorrow.

My Baby

I love my dear wife. She is such a wonderful lady. I couldn’t find a better friend, helpmate, lover, and the worlds greatest MiMi. I don’t want her to think  I have taken her for granted. We have been through so many trials and sometimes trying times, but I still love her so much after 33 years of marriage that I would do all over again. If I had the money, I would buy her a new ring and propose all over again, and go on one of those cruises she has wanted to go on. I hope all you couples can say the same thing. It is a matter of give and take, putting her first like the Bible says, and getting pride out of the way. Oh, we are still a work in progress, but I love her all the same. That’s my baby. See ya tomorrow.

Night At The Old Ball Park

Last night, I went to our local summer league baseball park to watch our Forest City Owls play ball. I used to play baseball myself, so it was a treat. There is nothing like the sights and sounds and smell at a baseball game: The fresh cut grass, the smell of a hotdog and drinks, and oh those sweet deep fried oreos! It was a cool night. Not so hot like it has been. We got off to a good start, but faltered in the end, losing 4-2. But that wasn’t the point. I had a great time with my boys and one of their girlfriend, and like I like to say, ‘and you cant beat that!’ Being with family at a ballpark is awesome.

The Old Ways

There are issues in this world I would love to address. Gun control, and bad things happening in the world. First off, a gun is a gun. It can’t fire itself, so when are we gonna quit complaining about gun control and get to the root of the problem: the person firing it? Also, when people do bad things, why do they say ‘how could this happen’? Well, I have two solutions. One is being dragged…dragged to church that is, so they can hear God’s word and know right from wrong, so they wouldn’t do things later in life to hurt people. Secondly, is a dang whuppin. If they had their butts whipped when they were young, they would know right from wrong. Now is this a  100% cure? No, because there will always be a few (and i said a few) who rebel and go bad anyway, or unless they have a mental problem. But I think there would be a lot less violence and disobedience in the world if people would do this.. Now should we do something about guns being sold to the wrong people? Sure. But let’s get to the root of the problem: sin, and parents withholding the rod and then saying ‘what happened to little johnny?’ .  I was dragged to church and had my butt whipped numerous times, and me and others turned out fine. Just sayin’. See ya tomorrow.

Wish I Had Gone

In a city close to me in Shelby, North Carolina, they had a comic con today; the first one. It was only five dollars, but I didn’t go. Some of my friends shared pictures where they went to it, and now I wish I had gone. They gave away swag bags and had a cosplay contest and all the other things that are at a comic con. I know next time I will definitely go. Have any of you ever been to a comic con?  If so, tell me about it.

Has anyone seen such a craze as Pokemon Go? It is so popular right now. I almost wish I had a game system to play Pokemon on. My little grand daughter is a Pokemon freak. She knows about all of them and watches Pokemon on TV, and carries Pikechu wherever she goes. She is so sweet. See ya tomorrow.

Hot, Hot, Hot

Is it hot where you live? I bet you thought I was going to write something risque, didn’t you? Not! I live in a trailer that doesn’t have central air because it is broke, and I don’t have the money to fix it or replace it. Needless to say, I feel like a sardine in a can, all sweaty and running down your body and all. We get thru it, though. It does get hot in North Carolina in the summer.

I saw a movie trailer today that is coming out at Halloween that is going to be awesome . It stars Madea and her cast of characters in a haunted house, because they are looking out for Tyler Perry’s  daughter. It was hilarious, definitely a must see, especially if you are a Madea fan. Well, I gotta go before I melt. I’m so sweet, you know lol. See ya tomorrow.

Kid In A Candy Store

Yesterday, I went to the library. I don’t get out much, so I had fun. Every time I go, I am usually there for awhile because I am like a kid in a candy store. There are so many books I like and authors as well, that it takes a while to choose. Remember as a kid going to a store? They usually had a big candy section in it and a diner as well, such as Woolworths. You go up to the candy that is in jars. Your mouth starts to water, and your eyes get big just looking at all that shiny candy in a jar for a penny. Yeah, I know that’s been awhile. That is how I feel like when I go to the library. Those shiny book covers and that new book smell, and wondering what world or whose lives can I escape into today. I have no problem spending an hour in there sometimes, but it is all worth it when I curl up and escape to a distant land and characters just waiting to be discovered. I have a question: am I just weird, or do you feel the same way? See ya on the morrow.
